This allows groups to target an audience by specific keywords such as location, education and skills, just to name a few. And since Facebook is the most-trafficked social media site in the world, and the fact that their fastest growing demographic is those 25 years old and older, you can see its power and influence on the recruiting front.
I read your article with great interest. I am trying to use Facebook to recruit technical talent, but I can't even figure out to post a job! HELP! The Facebook site seems to have changed quite a bit since you wrote this article just 2 months ago!

This article is interesting. I didn't know Facebook has that much potential that can be used by entrepreneurs and recruiters, I have just signed up in Facebook and have to put more attention to it now.

Good point. However if you use your Facebook account for business and recruiting purposes you would be setting up a page or group dedicated for your business. Job seekers would be commenting and participating in discussions on your business page.

That being said, there are ways in Facebook to control the amount of emails and applications you receive. If you do not want to participate in the application you can select to NOT receive any other invites for that particular application. You can also do the same with a 'friend'. You can choose not to receive any invitations from that 'friend' and finally you can remove a friend if you are getting bombarded with invites and other requests.

I belong to Facebook, but when I log in, I have over two hundred requests to fight, hug, garden, etc. How on earth would I find an important message?
